October 5th

You’ll be picked up at the Ashram in Calca around noon after the Gathering ends. You will be able to leave the bulk of your luggage at the Ashram as the tour will bring you back to collect it.

From the ashram you will be taken to the train station in Ollantaytambo.

You’ll have a little bit of time to enjoy the town a bit before boarding your Vistadome train at 15:37 to take you to Aguas Calientes. You’ll have a panoramic view as you pass under snow-capped mountains, down into the cloud jungle surrounding Machu Picchu.

Your train journey will take about 1.5 hours and, upon arrival a bit after 5:00pm, your hotel will meet you to help you check-in to your Hotel – the Wiracocha Inn

October 6th

Your guide will meet you at your hotel to take you to where the buses depart to Machu Picchu around 8:00am

The bus takes about 20 minutes to get you to the citadel. Once there, you’ll have a tour of the most important parts of Machu Picchu, as well as time to walk over to the Inca Bridge.

You’ll have time to get back down into town for a late lunch before catching your return arriving at the Ollantaytambo train station a bit after 5pm, where you’ll be picked up and taken to the Ashram to pick up your luggage and then to the Amaru Hotel in the stunning city of Cusco.

• Cost for this Machu Picchu journey, including hotel in Cusco (based on double occupancy), is $450pp, assuming at least 4 people travel.
• Meals are not included.
