journeys to sacred lands

Nadi Gathering
4th – 11th April 2025
Sacred Valley, Peru

Nadi Gatherings are journeys of harmonisation with nature and the ancient energies of sacred lands. These are truly authentic journeys, lovingly curated through deep personal experience and with the help of connections nurtured over many years. We are never tourists! We are conscious travellers, come to both give and receive and to return home changed and expanded.

In April 2025 we return to the mountains of Peru’s Sacred Valley. We invite you to spend time together in this powerful and magical setting.

The event is based in the Kundalini Yoga tradition and we also invite and integrate a variety of other practices and teachings including movement, breathwork and astrology, wisdom from Andean elders and immersive work with nature and the elements.

We hold yoga classes, workshops, sound healing, ceremonies, dance, music, discussions, one to one sessions and sharing circles. We also welcome local wisdom keepers and groups to the Gathering who guide us to take part in their sacred rituals.

The week-long Gathering includes an overnight visit to the temple of Kakya Qawani. Off the beaten track, we often have the place to ourselves. We stay on the top of the mountain with local Andean couple and bask in a sunrise meditation ceremony at the ancient site.

We also visit the stunning Perolniyoc waterfall another little visited wonder, where we will be guided through a powerful water mediation in the Q’ero tradition.

Since I returned from my amazing trip with the Nadi Gathering in Peru in February, I refer to my life as ‘before Peru’ and ‘after Peru’. That is how extraordinary and life changing it was!

Frequently Asked

Do I need to have practiced yoga to come?

Come as you are. Whether you are a regular yogini or spiritual practitioner or you have never been on a yoga mat and are drawn to spending time with us, and yourself on this sacred land.

Flights

UK Flights to Lima are  £800 or less if booked early to Jorge Chavez Airport LIMA

From there get a domestic flight to Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport CUSCO

You can also get a flight that stops over  in Lima.

Insurance

Please note that participants are expected to buy personal insurance to come on the trip – as per the disclaimer.

There are many policies that cover medical treatment and cancelled flights. We have used Which? And Martin Lewes to check and highly recommend those independent sites for guidance. We have found that insurance that comes with certain bank accounts also cover us at present.

Arrival in Cusco & Getting to the eco lodge

SHUTTLES

  • If you arrive early and you’re staying in Pisac or on the route from Cusco to the eco lodge we will pick you up and take you to your hotel (approx price $10-$30)
  • If you arrive early and are staying in Cusco we ask you to make your own way to the hotel – Cusco is small and there are a lot of airport taxis
  • Either way, we will organise shuttles on the opening day of the Gathering in the morning and in the afternoon. The cost is between $10 – $30 per person, depending on how many people share.
  • The journey from Cusco takes just about an hour and a half. From Pisac, it is about 45 minutes.

Weather

In the daytime, the temperature varies from 17-25 C.
However, the evenings get chilly and can be as low as 8C. It can also get chilly on top of the mountain.
Please bring warm clothes and waterproofs nothing too heavy.

What to bring

Yoga mat. We will have some yoga mats available at the eco lodge.
Light shawls for the day, blankets for practice at night – we’re in the mountains 3,000m up! (see Weather)
Lo-fi walking boots only, unless you’re doing strong treks after.
A torch
No need to bring bedding etc. but do bring a towel, soap and toiletries
Waterproofs for rain – nothing too heavy
Sunscreen, water bottle and anything you need for your comfort.

Remember Peru is jumper/poncho central. You can buy more things for warmth if needed in Cusco or Pisac.

Will the altitude affect me?

The highest we will go is to Huchuy Qosqo which is at 3,600 meters.

Some people can get altitude sickness – there’s no rhyme or reason for who gets it or why but it doesn’t last long and you can avoid it with proper rest on arrival. We will be able to guide you to acclimatise and also have Mate De Coca tea always at hand. Altitude sickness tablets almost always do the trick.

can't find the answer to your question?

What will a typical day be like?

We want to keep it organic and allow the Gathering to evolve as much as we can. Typically a day will look like this…
All workshops, trips and events are voluntary

Morning gathering and meditation, ceremony or yoga in practice space
Yoga, Sound healing, Breath work, Healing work
Lunch
Open space for guest workshops
Circle and Dinner
Evening ceremony followed by sharing and kirtan and entertainment in the large dome
Goodnight gong bath meditation

On Day 3 we will organise an afternoon trip to the Perolniyoc waterfall

On day 5 we will leave for Qaqyaqawana after lunch and hike up the mountain. We will then sleep in Andean lodgings and hold ceremonies and events on the temple.

On  Day 6 We will then descend back down the mountain and return to the Ashram.

On Day 7 we will rise early for our closing ceremony before we share a final breakfast. Departures are by lunchtime.

Will there be an ayahuasca ceremony?

We won’t be holding ayahuasca or any sacred medicine ceremonies. However we intend to hold sharing circles and beautiful rituals of other kinds.

This is an alcohol free event.

I want to visit Machu Picchu and other sites.

We are a mere 66km from Machu Picchu.

If you would like to visit this or others sites please contact Melanie who lives in the Sacred Valley and is part of the organising team.

The Nadi Gathering surpassed all expectations and will forever hold a special place in my heart. An expertly curated and lovingly facilitated retreat in the most beautiful surroundings, I look forward to joining the next one and couldn’t recommend it highly enough to anyone feeling the call!

Eleanor Phelan

A programme of yoga, visits and experiences that gave us far deeper insights into the culture of the high andes and the indigenous peoples who so generously shared their wisdom and hospitality. We left connected, rested and renewed knowing we had experienced something very special indeed.
